SK Planet’s T Academy Marks Third Anniversary by Surpassing 35,000 Graduates

   region in collaboration with local partners, while providing 959 text books to universities and specialized high schools.

Seoul, Korea, March 29, 2013—SK Planet announced today that T Academy, its IT education and training institute founded
tonurture mobile experts and a healthy mobile ecosystem,marked its third anniversary by surpassing 35,000 graduates.
 
Since establishmentin 2010 when mobile-oriented education was scarce, SK Planet’s T Academy has to date, developed
professional developers required in the smartphone age and evolved into a practical training institute that enhances trainees’
ability to work as a team by integrating planning, design and development expert courses. 
 
For the past three years, T Academy has produced a combined total of 35,914graduatesand joined hands with regional
partnering institutions inBusan,Daegu,Jeonjuand Chungnam to offer 17 courses to 1,180 trainees in the non-Seoul region.
Moreover, it provided 959 text books to nine schools including Kyung Hee University that integrated the course material
into its teaching. 
 
T Academy recently further expanded its course offerings by opening a mobile server project course. With the addition of
the new course to its existing planning, design and app development expert course, T Academy is fully set to offer a truly
integrated mobile education program. As part of its efforts to support expert course graduates to launch startups, the academy
also offers team-based mentoring programunder the name of ‘Startup Beginning’. Through its expert course, 89 apps and
14 startups including We&Company and Yes Studio were launched, proving that T Academy truly evolved into a powerhouse
for startups.
 
Moreover,SK Planet, in conjunction with the SeoulMetropolitan Government and Songnam City Government, offers Heemang
App Course which is a 5-month mobile-oriented course aimed at providing vocational training to themarginalized, while
helping its course graduates to find jobs or start their own business. It produced a combined total of 31 course graduates
and of which 27 seeking for employment, 19 successfully found employment at IT firms.With high employment rate of over 70%,
it has been noted as successful private-public sector collaboration in terms of creating jobs for the underprivileged. In January,
SK Planet was awarded with Seoul CityMayor’s Recognition Awards, in recognition of its effortsfor integrating low-income and
underprivileged population into sustainableemployment.
 
Meanwhile, in celebration of its third anniversary, T Academy will holdthe second ‘Triangle Talk Concert’at Seoul National
University Research Park, in which participants will take time to look back on the past achievements as well as the future of
T Academy. The event will also feature mock Investor Relations (IR) conference led by startups founded by T Academy alumni
as well as lectures delivered by four CEOs of startups and venture capitals including Capstone Partners CEO Song Eun-gang
who will share his invaluable insights and experiences in building a successful startup.
