Seoul, Korea, April 9, 2012 — SK Planet’s Basket today announced the addition of facebook+ that integrates social networking
into its website to deliver relevant and engaging social shopping experience.
Basket, a value comparison shopping portal, enables its customers to not only locate and compare prices offered by large online
retailers but also compare products sold by SOHO or small fashion brands at one stop, while viewing reviews and comments
 at a glance.
The newly added facebook+ feature connects Facebook with Basket account in which consumers can click the “Want” button to
create an instant wish list right on their Facebook Timeline and invite friends to share their products of interest.
In addition, users have access to a list of Facebook friend’s birthdays and anniversaries on facebook+ within Basket where they
can purchase gifts from their friend’s wish list immediately.
“Online shopping was previously thought as a solitary experience, but social network integration created a new trend that makes
e-shopping a much more interactive – and social – experience, as customers can shop together, share their wish lists and
recommend their likes to friends,” said Kim Soo-il, SK Planet’s Head of Commerce Business Unit. “Basket will provide customers
with unique and innovative shopping experience by offering value comparison service along with features that make online and
mobile shopping smarter and closer to a physical experience.”
During last month’s K Collection fashion festival that combined fashion show, K-pop concert, and latest IT for the first time in Korea,
SK Planet’s Basket offered a complete mobile commerce environment with its mobile application that allowed visitors to use
mobile tickets, conduct image searches, and use QR codes or NFC tags to view information on presented items, and even make
 on-site purchases.
SK Planet launched a large-scale promotional giveaway to be held for three weeks from April 6 to 26. Anyone can visit Basket website
 (
www.basket.co.kr) and play a bingo game that involves performing nine different missions - i.e. 'connecting to Facebook,'
'inviting friends,' 'adding Basket to favorites,' 'posting comments/reviews,' and 'adding items to wish list,' etc. - to become one of 4,000
winners of various gifts including Outback Steak House free gift card (Baby Back Ribs Menu).
Moreover, free Gifticon (select one from vitamin drink, grape flavored candy and cheese stick) will be offered to 100,000 users who
complete user registration during this period on a first come first served basis. Please visit Basket website (
www.basket.co.kr) to
 receive addition information and participate.
