SK Planet today announced that its mobile ad platform, T Ad, will enter the rich media market.
SK Planet disclosed T Ad Rich, a rich media advertising solution that is based on the talk of the town HTML5 technology
and is fully compliant with the latest international standards.
T Ad Rich offers 25 different authoring tools designed for one of four formats—video, catalog, 3D and minihompy which
make creating diverse mobile ads extremely easy. Clients may produce and execute advertisements that realize a higher
level of engagement than conventional formats while achieving lower cost and greater efficiency.
In contrast to the run-of-the-mill banners, rich media ads deliver a wider variety of information that cannot be relayed by
more traditional formats. For example, they can feature 3D images that allow customers to check out a product from every
angle. With videos, photos and other multimedia contents it is far more convenient to access a wealth of product-related
 information.
Ads can also engage the audience in a more interactive, fun and helpful experience. A customer may, for instance, shake
the mobile device and trigger responses from the images he is viewing or try out different colors on products.
In addition to the 25 authoring tools, SK Planet can offer more advanced technologies for rich media ad creation in order to
support clients wishing for greater originality and out-of-the-box contents.
“With the launch of T Ad Rich, we will deliver high quality creative ads on par with TV and online media,” said Kim Su-il,
Senior Vice President and Head of Commerce Business Unit of SK Planet. “We plan to offer services that can reshape the
mobile advertising paradigm away from the focus on generating more clicks.”
T Ad Rich will make its debut on the mobile Nate website (
http://m.nate.com), and its ads will be rolled out early next year
in various apps and advertising media held by T Ad.
On November 27, SK Planet is to hold the Second T Ad Publisher’s Awards ceremony at 5:00 p.m. at JBK Convention Hall
in Samsung-dong, Seoul. Some 100 mobile vendors are invited to the event, where SK Planet will present its 2013 T Ad
business plan and showcase T Ad Rich among a variety of mobile advertising solutions. There will also be presentations
by our partners, such as Rovio, to share their success stories on efficient ad deployment.
